Welcome!

I'm happy you're here.

Let's get to know each other.

About Me

When I was younger, finding my way as a sensitive middle child, I identified one main goal in life- to help people. I was good at it (compassionate, kind, and a great listener), and I enjoyed it (it makes me feel like I'm putting some good into the world). I wasn't sure how this goal would manifest until I took a counseling elective for my psychology major at James Madison University. I fell in love. And becasue I missed home, I came back to NJ to pursue my master's degree at William Paterson University. I began as an elementary school counselor in Paterson, and then moved to a competitive regional high school in Bergen County. Along the way, I began seeing clients in a thriving group practice in Midland Park, and eventually left the schools to do that full time. Fast forward to now, I am out on my own and doing what I love.

Life unfolded along the way and allowed me to discover my favorite clients to work with. I think I'll always have a few kids on my caseload, because that's where my career began (and they make me laugh). I adore working with young adults and helping them solidify their place in the world. I enjoy working with clients on the Spectrum and look fondly back on my time spent working in a special education school during my grad program. Women in the middle era of their lives are an important part of our communities, often taking on so many roles that they lose balance (I enjoy helping restore that balance). My own journey to becoming a mom has offered me empathy and partnership with my Perinatal population. It's an eclectic mix, but working with different populations keeps me on my toes and allows to me to continue learning and exploring.

Through my work with clients, I have found that I enjoy working with all manifestations of anxiety- OCD, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, Tics, and more. I use Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Habit Reversal Training, and Exposure and Response Prevention to help meet my client's goals. I am an ally and an advocate, and all are welcome here.

My clinical style is warm, supportive, and intuitive. I tear up often, but also love to laugh. I'll help identify unhealthy and unhelpful patterns and habits, and instill insight and behavioral change to break them. I have worked hard to find authenticity, identity, and balance in my own life, and I'd love to help you work toward the same in your life.
